This brand new documentary film shares the story of Dorothy Foreman Cotton, a bold and unsung civil rights activist and educator, and those carrying on her legacy. She took up the mantle of the citizenship schools when they passed from Highlander to the Southern Christian Leadership Conference and she worked alongside Martin Luther King, Jr. The film is by Deborah Hoard and Ry Ferro of PhotoSynthesis Productions.

Ry has been directing and editing award winning documentary films since 2004 which have screened at a wide range of festivals and been broadcast worldwide. Her work includes; When The Spirit Says Move (2022),There's Your Ready Girl (2020), and RE:Thinking (2016). Ry is an activist filmmaker with a focus on human rights. She lives in Ithaca, NY with her partner and their two children.
