Culture is all around us and in some instances literally dictates the air we breathe. As we move towards a vision of the world in which dignity and humanity for all is central, how do we make decisions on a small scale that builds a new collective culture? This 2 hour session will offer a framework to help think through consideration that will help us be intentional about that development.
Sage Crump is an artist, culture strategist and facilitator who expands and deepens the work of cultural workers/arts organizations in social justice organizing. Sage is a member of Complex Movements, a Detroit-based artist collective whose interdisciplinary work supports visionary organizing. Sage is principal and co-founder with artist muthi reed of The Kinfolk Effect (TKE), an incubation space for multimedia interdisciplinary artwork that examines the movement of Blackness through time and space. Sage is Architect of Emergent Strategies Ideation institute. Sage’s work incorporates complex sciences, emergent strategy and creative practice to imagine the world we want to live in and build strategies and practices that will get us there.
