Throughout this summer, Highlander has held conversations and asked questions to help us learn what we need to remember, reflect on, and reconsider as we work to build a future where we can regather in a post-pandemic world. We close out our "As We Re/Gather" project at Homecoming with a special conversation on the Resilience of Hope with Greisa Martinez, executive director of United We Dream, the largest immigrant youth-led network in the U.S followed by a special conversation between adrienne maree brown and Makani Themba. adrienne is the writer-in-residence at the Emergent Strategy Ideation Institute, a writer, author of many brilliant books, and so much more. Makani is Chief Strategist at Higher Ground Change Strategies based in Jackson, Mississippi, a social justice innovator and pioneer, and co-chair of Highlander's board of directors.
